The Purpose
Airstream travel trailers are iconic and instantly recognizable. The brand is based on the spirit of adventure – that with Airstream, you can go as far as the open road will take you.
In addition to developing product-specific and lifestyle content, we felt it was important to tell the story of quality – at the time this was published in 2016, over 70% of the Airstream trailers ever constructed, going as far back as 1931, were still on the road. Why? Their detail-oriented and time-tested process of construction.
This tradition of quality craftsmanship had never been officially documented on the Airstream website, and we felt it was an important story to tell.
The Outcome
Over the course of several months, our team observed construction on the floor in Jackson Center, OH and interviewed key stakeholders to develop this guidebook, which was made available both as a free download as well as on-site content.
This was a popular download at the time, which we also made available through a newsletter for Airstream subscribers. This content is still in use today and is the basis for additional content the company and its partners has built out over the years.
